Om arrangementet
You( both experienced and new) are welcome to join  our "Christmas/New Year/however you celebrate the ending of a year Hakomi party" on Zoom to mark the end of our fall/autumn semester. Advanced students in Hakomi Norway will fascilitate a two and a half hour practice group where we only do variations of the Hakomi exercise called the reclining Buddha.Â
The reclining Buddha is an image in Buddhist art that represents Buddha lying down during his last illness, about to enter the Parinirvana. This image has been an inspiration for an Hakomi excercise, originated by legacy-holder Georgia Marvin, where you listen to a person from a totally relaxed state where you don't relate to space or time. In short: You can listen with no demands:)
(And yes, reclining Buddha-bar is also a wordplay on the compilation albums of lounge/chill out-music called just Buddha-bar;))
We have discussed in Hakomi Norway how this exercise and attitude has been such a relief during this time of lockdown and isolation, where the absorption of sudden shifts in news media and escalation in phone calls, emails and social media has been energy draining for many people. And is also a great way to reflect upon the past year:)
The event is free of charge, but we would love a small donation to the association so that we can further our online projects.Â
If you're insecure about the time zone, write your time zone in this calculator.Â
The practice group will be in English, but since the Reclining Buddha doesn't really demands understanding of verbal language, you can speak in your own language if you like:)Â
If you have any questions write an email to hakominorway@gmail.com or go to our chat on www.hakomi-norway.com
We're looking forward to celebrate the end of our semester (the hakomi way) with you:)
